There are a wide variety of plush toys, that’s what makes them so awesome. Plush toys can rang from characters, animals, to food products. Plushies can also be used as clothing, furniture and even accessories for home and auto.
Everyday there is a new plushie idea being made. From the simple animal to the weirdest plushie. There are thousands of them available some very common and easy to find while others are collector items and enthusiast from all over the world go out of their way to collect them all.
Below are a few examples of plushies that we thought you may enjoy categorized by industry.
Plushie toys
Plush toys are the most famous and common, and their history go back hundreds if not thousands of years in some way shape or form. The Roman’s were first credited with making stuffed animals in 300 B.C, it was the very first rag doll, a little gross, but evidence even showed soft man made animal like creatures from early hunter gatherers.
Today stuffed animals, now also known as plushies take on various forms:
Character Plushies:
Plushies are commonly made in Asia (Japan, China, Korea…) as cute Kawaii soft characters to cuddle. However this trend is catching on in the states as well, big time. Disney is now creating plushie like characters as well as marvel and other Americana companies.
Plushie attire
Most of the plushie attire revolve around anime and the cosplay scene to add accent to ones fit. Plushie attire can be anything from mittens, gloves, hats, jackets, slippers and even scarfs. However, the most popular wearable plushies that we have seen are backpacks, purses and clutches. Below are a few notable backpacks and clutches.
This is just to name a few, as people find their own personal favorite characters, I am sure that there will be more backpacks and attire made for fellow plushie and anime fans.
Plushie Furniture
There is not a lot out there as far as plushie furniture as of yet. However we have seen lots of soft plushie shares with ears on them as well as couches, rugs and mattress covers made from plushie like materials.
Plushie For Automotive
When I was in Japan over 20 years ago, this was already a thing. People adorning the interior of their autos with various types of their favorite cartoon characters, anime or kawaii store bought plushie. Since most of us live in our cars now-a-days there are many accents and plushie auto accessories that you can use plushies for. I’ve listed a few below:

Weird Plushies
From boba plushies and anatomical plushies there is an equal variety of the strange and mundane plushies. The amazing thing is that production has gotten so much quicker and more efficient and no matter what we can think of we can come up with them. As far as the strange plushies that I encounter here are just a few.
